Our appearance at the International Pop Overthrow far exceeded expectations (ours and others...:)).  Festival organizer David Bash introduced us as "Roxy Monoxide, the full testosterone version" since we were doing our all-male version of the band.  The show went off without a hitch, and we received many flattering comments from David, other bands, and those watching the show.  Our thanks to Billy of the Shamey Jays, who announced that we were "his new favorite San Diego band," during their set.  They are our new favorite San Diego band!

Two big Roxy appearances coming up...tomorrow, Friday, February 19th, at 9pm, we'll be at O'Connells for our fourth appearance as part of the International Pop Overthrow Festival.  If you love powerpop music, you'll want to come by early, and stay the entire evening, then come back on Saturday and Sunday, as a huge roster of bands entertains.

And we just booked a show at Humphrey's Backstage Lounge for Friday, March 12th, from 5p to 7p.  Come down to Shelter Island for a great start to your weekend, with music, food and drink deals, and a great view.  More news to come... 

From O'Connells, that is...in our first gig for 2010, we return to the place where we helped welcome in the New Year.  Join us from 10p to 11p, at 1310 Morena Bvd. in San Diego.  A free beer for anyone at the show who purchases our CD...what a deal!

O'Connells at 1310 Morena Blvd in San Diego has asked us to be part of their New Year's Eve gala this year, and they don't even have a cover charge!   This has got to be the cheapest New Year's Eve party option around, and the only one featuring Roxy Monoxide...:) Join us and special guest bass player Ben Byrne, who was kind enough to join us since Darko will be up in San Francisco with his lovely wife for the holidays.  We hear that San Francisco is a lot like Serbia in many respects, so Darko should feel right at home.
