We play our first gig with new guitarist Tim Bennett on Saturday June 26th at the Tin Can Alehouse in San Diego.  Hope you'll join us in welcoming Tim to the band, and sampling the over 50 varieties of beer. 

 Lots happening in Roxy Monoxide land, but it's been awhile since we posted.  So in a nutshell, here's the latest, to keep you up to date:

• Our own Coree Levee has moved up to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in Chiropractic.  It's keeping her plenty busy, so from here on in, Roxy Monoxide continues as a four piece -- just us guys, with occasional guest vocalists like Coree and our other former female singers.
• Tim Bennett has joined the band, replacing Dave Gladish, who is pursuing his rock n' roll dreams with his new band, Ristband.  We wish Dave a lot of luck, and welcome Tim as his very able replacement.
• We have been working on a slew of new songs to debut at August gigs in Pacific Beach (Tiki House) and Los Angeles (The International Pop Overthrow Festival)

As if you needed more than the great view, incredible sound system, comfortable soundings, and happy hour food and drink specials to lure you to our March 12th show at Humphrey's Backstage Lounge, we're now enticing you attend with $5 copies of our full-length CD, "Another Day, Another Episode."  What a deal... See you there, 5p to 7p...a great time slot for all of you who need to get to bed early, or those who want to carouse all night long.

Our appearance at the International Pop Overthrow far exceeded expectations (ours and others...:)).  Festival organizer David Bash introduced us as "Roxy Monoxide, the full testosterone version" since we were doing our all-male version of the band.  The show went off without a hitch, and we received many flattering comments from David, other bands, and those watching the show.  Our thanks to Billy of the Shamey Jays, who announced that we were "his new favorite San Diego band," during their set.  They are our new favorite San Diego band!

Two big Roxy appearances coming up...tomorrow, Friday, February 19th, at 9pm, we'll be at O'Connells for our fourth appearance as part of the International Pop Overthrow Festival.  If you love powerpop music, you'll want to come by early, and stay the entire evening, then come back on Saturday and Sunday, as a huge roster of bands entertains.

And we just booked a show at Humphrey's Backstage Lounge for Friday, March 12th, from 5p to 7p.  Come down to Shelter Island for a great start to your weekend, with music, food and drink deals, and a great view.  More news to come...
